The Foundation aims to foster the collaborating communities according to these seven core values:
1. Wholeness
At the heart of WECCF's work is a single conviction: that natural and human systems are meant to thrive, adapt, and continuously renew themselves.
Wholeness — the integrity of these systems and their relationships with one another — is not a sector or a thematic preference; it is the living standard by which every programme, partnership, and opera on is guided.
2. Harmony and Coexistence
Harmony, in WECCF's understanding, is not a destination but a way of moving through the world — with awareness, with care, and with deep respect for difference. It speaks to two relationships at once: the relationships between people, within and across societies, cultures, and generations; and the relationship between humanity and all living beings with whom we share this Earth. Harmony does not erase difference — it transforms difference into dialogue, and dialogue into the conditions under which all life can genuinely thrive..
3. Integrity
The Foundation operates as a non-profit organization, independent of commercial control or political intervention, with all resources directed to its public-interest mission.
Funding sources, governance, and decisions are disclosed openly. Independence and transparency are conditions of credibility, not optional extras.
4. Replicability
The Foundation designs its work to be copied, adapted, and scaled by others. Publications, methodologies, and pilot models are made openly available wherever practical. Impact, in the Foundation's understanding, is what others build on top of our work — not what we keep to ourselves.
5. Generativity
WECCF designs its work to take root beyond itself. Every publication, methodology, and pilot model is designed from the outset to be understood, adapted, and brought to life in new contexts by others. True impact, in the Foundaton's understanding, is generative — it multiplies beyond its origins, grows in the hands of those who carry it forward, and belongs ultimately to the world.
6. Empowerment
WECCF believes that the transition to ecological civilization cannot be led from the top down — it must be lived from the inside out. Through conferences, events, policy work, and living models, we nurture in people the awareness and confidence to engage meaningfully with those who hold power — in government, in industry, and in the institutions that shape daily life.
Lasting change is not delivered to people — it grows through them. Informed, aware, and engaged citizens are not a footnote to policy; they are its most essential authors.
7. Innovation
WECCF draws on the full spectrum of human knowing — science, engineering, and applied research alongside intuition, creativity, and the wisdom that emerges from lived experience. True innovation, in the Foundation's understanding, is never purely technical; it arises at the meeting point of rigorous inquiry and imaginative vision. Together, these ways of knowing produce results that are practical, ethical, and measurable — and help shape the conditions in which investment and business opportunity become forces for ecological civilization rather than threats to it.
