01 / Purpose

Serve the public interest.

Ecology, nature and the wider environment — grounded in peace and harmony.

The Foundation’s purpose is to serve the public interest in the fields of ecology, nature, and, more broadly, the environment. It explores and promotes the concept and best practices of ecological civilization in the context of modern life and technological innovation, based on peace and harmony with oneself, between humans, and with nature. The Foundation pursues solely objectives of public utility and has non-profit purposes.

02 / Vision

All living beings thrive together.

A world in balance with one another and with the planet that sustains us all.

To create a world where humanity and all living beings thrive together — in balance with one another and with the planet that sustains us all.

03 / Mission

Turn vision into evidence.

Develop practical models, support pilots, advise policy and connect the people who can scale them.

WECCF advances ecological civilization by turning vision into evidence. We develop practical models of harmony between people and the natural world, support pilot projects that demonstrate resilient development in action, advise policymakers on the institutional choices that allow these models to scale, and build international partnerships that carry them across borders. We believe the most transformative contributions are open ones — freely available to be studied, adapted, and multiplied by all who share this work.

Five pathways.
One shared future.

From rigorous research to real places and people. Five complementary pathways turn ecological thinking into practical, lasting change.

01

Research & Policy

Insight → policy

Knowledge in service of transformation. WECCF conducts and synthesizes rigorous, practice-grounded research on low-carbon industrial transition, climate-resilient infrastructure, resource stewardship, and applied technology, translating real-world insight into policy pathways for sustainable and regenerative development.

02

Pilot Facilitation

Ideas → proof

Support for demonstration projects with measurable development outcomes — emissions reduction, jobs created, knowledge transferred, and infrastructure resilience improved.

03

Transformative Capacity-Building

People → agency

Our conferences, workshops, and seminars go beyond technical training — they cultivate a new literacy for living on Earth. We strengthen the institutional, human, and ecological intelligence needed for communities and economies to thrive in genuine harmony with the natural world.

04

Worldwide Collaboration

Local → global

WECCF convenes governments, industry, academia, and civil society with deep roots in partnerships across China, the Global South, and Europe — and open to every nation ready to advance this shared vision of building resilient, ecologically grounded societies.

05

Humanity and Consciousness

Culture → care

Lasting change begins not with institutions, but in people. WECCF draws on the transformative power of art, sport, and culture to awaken a new way of seeing — one in which humanity remembers its place within the web of life, and feels again the wonder, responsibility, and love that make genuine ecological civilization possible.

Open contributions can be studied, adapted and multiplied by others.

A compass
for how we act.

Seven values shape the communities we nurture, the partnerships we build and the work we leave in the hands of others.

01

Wholeness

Natural and human systems are meant to thrive, adapt and renew themselves. Their relationships are the living standard guiding every programme, partnership and operation.

At the heart of WECCF’s work is a single conviction: that natural and human systems are meant to thrive, adapt, and continuously renew themselves. Wholeness — the integrity of these systems and their relationships with one another — is not a sector or a thematic preference; it is the living standard by which every programme, partnership, and operation is guided.

02

Harmony and Coexistence

Difference becomes dialogue; dialogue becomes the conditions under which all life can genuinely thrive.

Harmony, in WECCF’s understanding, is not a destination but a way of moving through the world — with awareness, with care, and with deep respect for difference. It speaks to two relationships at once: the relationships between people, within and across societies, cultures, and generations; and the relationship between humanity and all living beings with whom we share this Earth. Harmony does not erase difference — it transforms difference into dialogue, and dialogue into the conditions under which all life can genuinely thrive.

03

Integrity

Independent, transparent and directed to the public-interest mission.

The Foundation operates as a non-profit organization, independent of commercial control or political intervention, with all resources directed to its public-interest mission. Funding sources, governance, and decisions are disclosed openly.

04

Replicability

Make the work open enough to be copied, adapted and scaled by others.

The Foundation designs its work to be copied, adapted, and scaled by others. Publications, methodologies, and pilot models are made openly available wherever practical. Impact, in the Foundation’s understanding, is what others build on top of our work — not what we keep to ourselves.

05

Generativity

True impact multiplies beyond its origins and belongs ultimately to the world.

WECCF designs its work to take root beyond itself. Every publication, methodology, and pilot model is designed from the outset to be understood, adapted, and brought to life in new contexts by others. True impact, in the Foundation’s understanding, is generative — it multiplies beyond its origins, grows in the hands of those who carry it forward, and belongs ultimately to the world.

06

Empowerment

Lasting change grows through informed, aware and engaged citizens.

WECCF believes that the transition to ecological civilization cannot be led from the top down — it must be lived from the inside out. Through conferences, events, policy work, and living models, we nurture in people the awareness and confidence to engage meaningfully with those who hold power — in government, in industry, and in the institutions that shape daily life. Lasting change is not delivered to people — it grows through them. Informed, aware, and engaged citizens are not a footnote to policy; they are its most essential authors.

07

Innovation

Rigorous inquiry meets imagination to produce practical, ethical and measurable results.

WECCF draws on the full spectrum of human knowing — science, engineering, and applied research alongside intuition, creativity, and the wisdom that emerges from lived experience. True innovation, in the Foundation’s understanding, is never purely technical; it arises at the meeting point of rigorous inquiry and imaginative vision. Together, these ways of knowing produce results that are practical, ethical, and measurable — and help shape the conditions in which investment and business opportunity become forces for ecological civilization rather than threats to it.
